Every person who left Sam and Holly’s wedding could not stop talking about how madly in love these two were for one another. When I posted sneak peeks on my Facebook page, users commented that they have never seen a groom look more happy. The love that these two share was overflowing on their big day. The morning was filled with butterflies and the evening contained so much joy and laughter. Sam and Holly met at All People’s Church. They led small groups together and they traveled around the world while partaking on mission trips. It was in Peru when Sam discovered that Holly was special. Sam pursued Holly and they soon became the sweetest pair. They are always so compassionate about others and one another.
Sam and Holly decided that they would not kiss until their wedding day. That is some strong will power! They wanted their relationship to have a strong foundation apart from the physical. A foundation that was first and most importantly, Christ centered. They became best friends and they quickly fell in love. When they traveled to Yosemite with Sam’s family, they got engaged. Sam and Holly are loved by so many people… I mean, their wedding alone had almost 4oo guests! That’s a lot of love!
Sam was my husband’s best man at our wedding and we loved being able to witness him marry the woman of his dreams. People often ask if I enjoy photographing a friends wedding and I always tell them that I love it! I truly do! When you are a guest at a wedding, you have little to no time with the friend you are celebrating because they have to make their rounds with ALL their guests. Often times, you say congrats to the couple, dance near them during the reception, take a selfie or two, and watch them have the time of their lives. As the photographer, you are with the couple more than any other person. You are there for all the behind-the-scenes action. You get to witness the butterflies, the tears, the anxiety, and all the emotions that take place prior to the big moment. You get to watch them exchange gifts, letters, and first looks. I consider it an honor to capture their special day. I love being able to stand next to them and capture all the chaos and greatness of it. Sam and Holly’s wedding day was so much fun and I’m excited that Trent and I have a new couple joining the marriage club. It’s simply the best. Congrats Sam and Holly!
