Meet Jeremy and Lauren! These two have been in love for years and their family and friends could not wait for them to finally tie the knot. When my assistant, Chelsea and I arrived on their wedding day, it was raining. In four years, this was my first rainy wedding! I didn’t know how Lauren would respond to the weather report since the majority of her wedding took place outside. However, we were welcomed with nothing but smiles when we walked in and greeted all the girls and the gorgeous bride. Rather then being bogged down by the rain, Lauren considered it to be lucky because it seems to be tradition within their family for rainy wedding days. They are all still married and in love so she considered it good luck. Jeremy and Lauren are so much fun and I loved that they took all their pictures outside even if that meant getting their hair, makeup, and wedding attire all wet. They have a carefree attitude and their positivity is contagious. If it down poured, I’m sure they still would have been outside dancing and laughing in the rain. Luckily, it only sprinkled while we were outside and it poured during the ceremony when we were dry and warm in their home church. Talk about great timing! I loved that their bridal party consisted of friends that they have known for almost their entire lives. These two have a gift of creating strong bonds to those around them and maintaining genuine friendships. The love from their friends and family radiated toward them throughout the entire day and I felt honored to be there and to be able to capture it. I am excited to see what is in store for this sweet couple as they embark on this new chapter in their life. Congrats Jeremy and Lauren!
Her hair! It’s amazing!
It seemed to be a collection of amazing hair!
I loved these portraits of Lauren! So beautiful!
The bridesmaids getting their first look… So sweet!
They let their bridal party watch nearby. I love when couples do that!
Amazing! An all time favorite!
Pretty details!
We had to take breaks from the rain so that we wouldn’t ruin their hair and makeup.
These guys were so much fun!
By the time we grouped them all together, it was raining so hard we had to keep them covered.
Luckily, I hard a camera poncho ($20.00 at George’s), which kept my gear safe.
I however, was a wet photographer. I might need to hire a third just to hold an umbrella ;)
Their home church.
Jeremy’s best man (and twin brother) hid the rings in his pocket. I loved that he made another groomsmen try to find it!
The father/daughter dance was so touching, the bridesmaids had to use the table cloth to wipe their tears.
Such a fun dance floor!
