I loved photographing David and Erika’s wedding day! These two became instant friends when I met them for their engagement session. David and I share a love for all things nerdy. Disneyland and Harry Potter are some big ones. Erika embraces his passion and she even had his wedding ring engraved with Harry Potter font. That officially makes her the coolest wife!

David and Erika met in the academy and I loved how they incorporated a police theme into their entire wedding day. Thin blue line pins and bracelets were available to guests, shell casings decorated the napkins, a donut bar, a thumbprint guest book, and a mugshot wall was the backdrop of their Photo Booth. Their guests consisted of sheriffs, deputies, chiefs, detectives, and everything in between. All I can say is that I felt very safe at this wedding. With the chaos of wedding planning, it has been a heavy and controversial season for the police force. These two experienced a lot of late nights filled with hate. However, they were committed to help their communities and spread love with the jobs that they were given. They supported one another through it all and somehow they still managed to piece together a gorgeous wedding. I’m so thankful for their service, their friendship, and that I was able to photograph such a special time in their lives. I have so many favorites… Enjoy!
