Meet Stephen! He is a senior at West Hills and their star quarterback. Like most senior boys, Stephen was dragged to his photo session by his mom. I knew it was time for me to be on my “A-game” to make sure that the process was painless and fun! We could not have asked for a more “summer like” vibe. We had our session at Pacific Beach and when we arrived it was jam packed. It was a beautiful 80 degree weekend and everyone was out celebrating in the sunshine. We were surrounded by rollerbladers, hula hoopers, gymnasts, volleyball players, and everything else in between. I felt like I was thrown into a 90’s summertime music video. Seriously, I was so into it, when Stephen and his mom walked up, I was recording the hula hoopers and making conversation with the tight-ropest! Stephen tried to convince us that he only needed one photo in one shirt, but luckily he had his mom and I to bring him back to his senses. She arrived with t-shirts, collared shirts, swimsuits, and props. Stephen and I loved the pier so that is where we spent the majority of our session. We talked about high school, graduation, college, and all the exciting things that are quickly approaching within the next few months. Stephen arrived unenthusiastic about his senior session and left saying that he actually had a lot of fun. If I keep them laughing and less aware of my camera, I feel like my goals have been accomplished. Stephen is such a great guy and I’m so excited to see what is in store for him!
The next series of photos is a shoutout to my hubby.
It’s proof showing how funny I am on my photo shoots ;)
Stephen and I were getting soaked and several times he had to show off his pull-up skills before he was attacked by the waves.
