Meet the Simon family! They are from Colorado and they decided to escape the snow, grab their surfboards, and enjoy a mini vacation in sunny San Diego. The Simon family is adventurous and full of life. They surf, they play volleyball, lacrosse, they ski, they snowboard, and they practically do anything that involves being in the great outdoors. Prior to the session, I was exchanging emails with Sarah (who is the beautiful wife/mom in these photos). Sarah is as sweet as can be and I’m very impressed that she was able to pull her family away from the ocean for a few hours to participate in a family photo session.  My family has never had a professional session together (trust me I’ve tried) so I know how hard these mom’s have to work to drag their loved ones to a shoot. As reluctant as they were prior to the session, I was proud to hear them all say that they had a great time. They said that it was, “surprisingly fun” and I walked away with a feeling of success. The Simon family is gorgeous and I had such a great time photographing them. The parents are affectionate toward one another, the siblings get along, and they even put their arms around one another without any eye rolls. I loved their casual beachy look and go with the flow attitudes. They were an ideal family to photograph and I’m excited to share my favorites. Enjoy!
