Meet Mike and Alex! They were my first session of 2015 and the best couple to kick off the year with! They are high school sweethearts and they have been together for eleven years. Everyone is so excited to see these two finally tie the knot. For their engagement session, we headed back to the place where their love first started… high school! I loved hearing stories about what they were like back in the glory days and learning about how their love sparked. Mike pursued Alex in Spanish class and they have been hooked ever since. They brought their yearbook to our session and I was able to flip through and see pictures of them and their bridal party. One of my favorite moments from their session was when we came across the yearbook “reservation” pages. Remember back in high school when you would reserve a page for your best friends and/or significant other? We were laughing when came across a blank page that said, “Caitlyn’s Page” and it was left unsigned. Caitlyn is now in her bridal party so I guess their friendship means more than words can express. I pulled out some of my yearbooks and I still have blank reservation pages! We tried finding Mike’s yearbook love letter, but we realized that he forgot to write in it as well. Again, I was laughing and then he wanted to grab a pen and write, “hey, let’s get married this year.” After we photographed at their old stomping grounds, we headed to Coronado and took pictures until sunset. These two share an effortless love and it was so much fun for me to capture. I’m so excited for their wedding and to be a part of such a special time in their lives. Congrats Mike and Alex!
I love this one!
Mike played football back in high school. It was fun bringing them on the field!
These next few shots are some of my favorites!
