Engagement Session: Lake Arrowhead, CA | Analisa Joy Photography | San Diego, CA Photographer

There are times when I meet clients and we instantly click. When I met Craig and Jessica for their bridal consultation, I walked away feeling like I just had lunch with childhood friends. It was effortless conversation that was filled with tangents and so much laughter. If it was a first date, I would be writing Taylor Swift songs about it… it was that great! I haven’t seen them since the beginning of this year and I couldn’t wait to reunite for their engagement session. We met in Lake Arrowhead which I am now claiming as my new favorite shooting location. This place is truly magical! Craig and Jessica arrived with Craig’s second love, his Harley. After taking pictures on his bike, we hiked around and ended our session by the lake at sunset. We spent two hours laughing and singing during our session… not well, but every conversation seemed to lead into a song. I’m trying to see how I can incorporate singing to them on their wedding day WHILE taking pictures. Not really, I wouldn’t want to scare away their guests, but we did talk about it. There were other photographers around and we were definitely the loudest group in the forest because we couldn’t stop cracking one another up. One of my favorite moments was when we forgot the hot chocolate and improved the scene by filling their mugs with water and topping them whip cream. Craig forgot about the water portion and took a big sip because the whip cream and sprinkles were so enticing. However, he was disappointed when he was greeted with water instead of hot chocolate deliciousness. We have already planned our future date night after sharing our love and passion for pizza and I can’t wait for all the fun memories to come. These two are such a special pair and I’m so excited to be the photographer for their wedding day. Congrats Craig and Jessica!
