Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t blogged since early Spring. I took 3 months off work for maternity leave and I’m inspired to get back to it. I could not have asked for a cuter couple to welcome me back into the blog world. James and Patricia are high school sweethearts and they have been together for 11 years. Their friends call them Jamey/Nicole and since we are now friends, that’s what I’ll be referring to them by. Jamey and Nicole met in their high school Spanish class and Jamey asked their teacher if he could sit next to Nicole. He had an instant crush on Nicole and she quickly fell for his charm and humor. She says that he is still the funniest guy that she knows! It was no secret that Nicole wanted to get engaged and one day she asked Jamey when he was finally going to pop the question and he said, “February 3rd.” As time passed, Nicole was getting anxious for February to come around. On February 2nd, she was out running errands and returning from a graveyard shift. She opened the door and was greeted by Jamey who was on one knee and said, “Nicole, sorry it took so long… will you marry me?” She was so surprised, full of tears, and she said it was the most surreal moment of her life. Afterwards, Jamey kept the surprises coming and took Nicole to an engagement party surrounded by their closest family and friends. For their session, we headed back to their alma mater and took pictures in places that are a part of their love story. It was so sweet and I loved all the personal touches! Being a high school sweetheart myself, I appreciate how special it is to grow up with the one you love and revisit the places and memories that helped you get to where you are today. I loved hanging out with these two and I can’t wait to see what is in store for their future. Congrats Jamey and Nicole!
