Meet Rob and Jacqueline! They were a sweet couple that I photographed at the end of last year. They tied the knot in December out at Liberty Station in Point Loma. I met these two last year during their consultation, but we never had an engagement session together. I knew I liked them from the start and they didn’t even need a warm-up when Chelsea and I arrived for their getting ready shots. The camera just loves these two! I enjoyed spending the afternoon with Jacqueline because she has a very serene nature to her. Wedding days can be filled with chaos due to timelines, weather, bridal party, and everything else in between and it’s interesting to see how brides handle the variety of situations. Jacqueline’s getting ready door was always swinging open and shut and the room was flooded with kids. It was loud, it was fun, and through it all, Jacqueline managed to relax enough to take it all in. She is the definition of namaste. Rob is in the Marines and I enjoyed how he incorporated his uniform and other Marines into his wedding. These two love being with one another and for the first time ever, I had a couple who felt like they had enough photos during their portraits. We were always ahead of schedule, so I told them we could keep exploring or they could use this time to be alone. They took advantage of that and they walked along the water, they danced, and they sat on a bench overlooking the skyline while their guests enjoyed cocktail. They said it was their favorite part of the day! It was an honor to be a part of such a special day. Congrats Rob and Jacqueline!
These two love Tiffany’s! It was a Tiffany filled day.
Love this shot of the girls!
Getting into the dress. My favorite part!
LOVE!
I want this framed! Amazing!
A favorite of mine!
We headed to their apartment to grab a few shots of Rob getting ready!
First look. This part of the day is always my favorite!
Can you guess what he gave her? Tiffany’s… Of course!
LOVE! These two are so cute together.
These hallways… I could shoot in them all day!
Such a fun group!
Probably my favorite shot of the day! I love it!
The cutest little wedding guest.
We had time to spare, so we headed toward the water!
Their venue was the Stone Brewery in Point Loma. In love with the dark wood decor!
Beer bottle chandeliers. Every bottle was hand chosen by the owner.
These two surprised everyone (even me)!
Just when you thought it was a sweet first dance, they got the party started with a surprise choreographed dance!
Jacqueline’s mom knew how to work a dance floor!
These two! I just love photographing them!
When Jacqueline tossed her bouquet, she hit the chandelier and knocked out a bottle.
Luckily, it didn’t hit anyone. That will be a great story to tell for years to come!
